Ecology = System of Inherited Knowledge.
This mode of thinking led me to the typology of tiffin boxes as carriers of care, labour, and knowledge - passed down from my grandmother to my mother, and then to me.
Tiffin boxes store food in tiers; each box is removed to reveal the next. Each box protects the one below, and as I unstack them, I remember how I came to have this beautiful relationship with rice.
